How To Join RIAR as a Primary Member

If you’d like to become a Member of the Rhode Island Association of REALTORS, you must first join your local real estate board. Membership in a local association automatically extends your membership to the state association and the National Association of REALTORS.

The Designated REALTOR of a firm has board of choice. Board of choice allows the Designated REALTOR the choice of which local board to join with primary membership. Whichever local board the Designated REALTOR has his/her primary membership with is the local board that all licensees’s who hang their license in that office must join as their primary board.

Membership in a local association automatically extends your membership to the National Association of REALTORS and the State Association of REALTORS. The dues for the Rhode Island Association are $148.50. The local board fees vary between the boards.

How To Join RIAR as a Secondary Member:

If you are a primary member of a board outside Rhode Island you may join in RIAR as a secondary member. You may obtain an application for secondary membership online or by calling the State Association at 401-785-3650 ext. 6942.

The annual fee for secondary membership is $148.50.

How To Join as an Affiliate Member:

If an individual who does not have a real estate license, and is in the mortgage industry, an attorney, or any real estate related trade is eligible for an affiliate membership. You may obtain an application for affiliate membership online or by contacting the State Association at 401-785-3650 ext. 242.

The annual fee for an affiliate membership is $75.00.
