$8,000 First time home buyer tax credit has not been renewed – act now!
10/30/2009
Time is running out!  The $8,000 first time home buyer credit will expire in less than a month.  Ignore the rumors; the credit has NOT been extended.  Unless you can convince your federal officials to act, your buyers will lose the tax credit unless they close on or before November 30, 2009.

Both chambers of Congress - the U.S. Senate and House - must support the extension, and President Obama must sign it before it becomes law.  According to the National Association of REALTORS, the U.S. Senate is expected to vote on a preliminary motion next week but this is only one step towards the finish line.

What can REALTORS do to help extend the credit?   Take five minutes to ask your members of Congress to extend the $8,000 tax credit for first time home buyers. Click here now:  www.realtoractioncenter.com
