SCOTTI, RITA ANGELICA, a prolific author who wrote popular works of both non-fiction and fiction under the name R.A. Scotti, died on Feb. 25 in New York City. The cause was cancer.

Scotti's books include the non-fiction titles Sudden Sea: The Great Hurricane of 1938; Basilica: The Splendor and the Scandal; Cradle Song; and 2009s Vanished Smile: The Mysterious Theft of Mona Lisa.
