Approved Broker Classes

90 hours of Approved Broker Classes with RI REALTORS®

Students may choose any of the classes listed below and apply them to the 90 hours of continuing education as required by state law and the Department of Business Regulations in order to obtain a brokers license.  All 90 hours MUST be taken within 4 years preceding your submission of a complete broker application in order to be accepted and considered.

NOTE: The below list is unique to the RI Association of REALTORS Professional Development School.  All 90 hours are required to be taken in the CLASSROOM – no online courses will be accepted by the licensing authority.  The 45 hours of Sales Pre-license and 3 hours of Lead Paint Hazards do not count toward the total 90 classroom hour total. For questions regarding classes you mat have taken at other approved schools, please contact that school directly as we have no information regarding their approval status or course offerings, neither do we track your attendance, completion or issuance of a certificate.  For any other information regarding Broker license requirements, please contact the RI Department of Business Regulations Real Estate Licensing division.

It is strongly encouraged that you take the RIAR course #1 Broker Pre-license – to help prepare for the broker state exam.   This course also counts for 24 of the required 90 hours.

Using the list below, please refer to the RI REALTORS® Professional Development Center calendar for dates, times, pricing and descriptions.  If you would like to be added to list to be notified once these classes are scheduled, please contact [email protected]
