Code of Ethics Training

Earn 3 CORE credits towards licensing renewal when you take Code of Ethics through the RI Association of REALTORS®

REALTORS® are required to complete Code of Ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within a two-year cycle. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.

A new two-year cycle began January 1, 2019. The deadline for this cycle is December 31, 2020.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with the Code of Ethics Training requirements and learning objectives for new members and existing members.

About Code of Ethics

Code of Ethics is a National Association of REALTORS® requirement which is enforced by local Boards of REALTORS®. The Rhode Island Association of REALTORS® provides Code of Ethics classroom courses for 3 CORE education credits.  Click here for more information on the background of Code of Ethics.

To check if you have completed the course for the current cycle, check the National Association of REALTORS® site and select the “View My Education Records” using your NRDS login information.   If you do not know your NRDS number, please follow the prompts or contact your local Board of REALTORS®.

PLEASE NOTE: The RI REALTORS® Professional Development Center will only be able to assist you regarding Code of Ethics classes taken through RI REALTORS®, one of the local Boards of REALTORS®, or through the RI REALTORS® portal on with an online affiliated school. 

If you took Code of Ethics with ANY other school, approved for CEU by the Department of Business Regulations, please contact that school for your certificate and/or any other information.
