Fundamentals of a Real Business
- GRI 101 – 15 CE
A course that empowers you to run your own successful business as a real estate consultant, develop essential skills and form some very good habits. The first step in earning the prestigious Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) National Association of Realtors Designation, GRI 101 covers topics such as skills for success, the independent contractor, business development skills, effective listing skills as well as sales and marketing.

Course establishes a foundation of training, skills, and resources to help real estate professionals succeed as a buyer’s representative. This course is specifically designed to help you:
- conduct a buyer counseling session
- sign buyer clients to a written buyer representation agreement
- negotiate buyer clients’ offers
- bring the transaction to a successful close

If you do not wish to take ABR, you may substitute it the RIHousing: What it Takes course. Those who are interested in attending both ABR and the RIHousing course are welcome to.

This six-hour course will give students a comprehensive review of RIHousing programs as explained by specialists, underwriters, and members of their senior team. All aspects will be reviewed and discussed so REALTORS® can successfully tap into the many homebuyer and community lending programs offered by the agency. The second part of the program will allow you to gain valuable insight into a homebuyer’s experience by actually participating in RIHousing’s First-time Homebuyer Education class in the company of those potential buyers.
