Rhode Island has received $50 million in funds for struggling Rhode Island homeowners. RIHousing's Homeowner Assistance Fund Program (HAF-RI) provides financial assistance to eligible homeowners struggling to pay their mortgage payments, utilities, and more.

Warwick, R.I. – December 15, 2021 -- The median price of single-family homes sold in Rhode Island in November climbed 16.1 percent from 12 months earlier, to $375,000. Sales activity however, continued to fall for the fifth consecutive month. The number of closings fell by 8.2 percent, though those put under contract but not closed in November, rose 2.7 percent, an indication that future closing activity should increase.
The Department of Business Regulation has proposed changes to its regulations to clarify how they apply to teams and to implement a new fair housing/ADA educational requirement for real estate licensees. These changes would take effect on January 1, 2022.

Single-family home sales fell 22.3 percent from October 2020 but despite the slowdown in activity, the median price continued to climb, rising by 12.7 percent year-over-year.
Warwick, R.I. – November 18, 2021 -- The Rhode Island Association of Realtors announced today that Agueda Del Borgo, Broker and Principal of Places and Spaces Realty in Providence, was recently installed as the 2022 president of the Rhode Island Association of Realtors. She assumed her position at the helm of the 6200-member, professional association this month, following her formal installation at the National Association of Realtors National Conference in San Diego.
