RI REALTORS® has been made aware of a fraudulent email currently being sent to some members claiming that their membership payment is past due. The email may appear to come from RIAR or State-Wide MLS and includes language requesting that recipients reply to receive payment instructions. This message is not legitimate and was not sent by RIAR or State-Wide MLS.

How to Identify This Scam

• The sender's email address is not an official RIAR or State-Wide MLS address.
• The message claims your membership payment is overdue and urges you to respond regarding payment.
• The email requests that you reply for payment instructions rather than directing you to login to the gateway.

What to Do

• Do not reply to the message.
• Do not provide payment information or personal information.
• Do not click any links or open any attachments contained in the email.
• Delete the message immediately.
