Nelson is the Managing Partner for [THE BLACKSTONE TEAM] (formerly Taylor & Associates), a top producing team of real estate professionals collaborating under the umbrella of COMPASS Rhode Island. 20+ years ago, Nelson was one of the original creators and practitioners of the team concept in real estate within the state of Rhode Island. [THE BLACKSTONE TEAM] is not only the highest producing team at COMPASS Rhode Island, but the second highest producing team on the East Side of Providence and within the top 10 statewide. Nelson is dedicated to his clients' success. Nelson and his wife Kelly, a local interior designer (www.ktid.net), moved from New York City 22 years ago and live on the East Side of Providence in an early 1900s brick Tudor with sons Will (20) and Reid (17). Will attends Villanova University and Reid attends The Moses Brown School. They have an amazing dog, Jackson, a Chatham Hill Retriever, which is a mix between a Flat Coat Retriever and a Cocker Spaniel. Nelson was born September 27th, 1969 in Dallas, Texas. He holds a BA from Rollins College, an MA from the University of North Texas and an MFA from the University of Alabama. Before embarking on a career in real estate in 2001, Nelson was both a freelance travel journalist and a published fiction writer. After taking a hiatus from writing while growing his family and career, Nelson again finds time to write short stories most mornings of the week before the family has woken up.
