Appraisal Licensing
How to Obtain Your Appraisal License
Real estate appraisers determine the value of properties. Therefore, they need to know acceptable principles of appraisal and related information. They need to have practical experience, technical education, and good judgment. With such strong qualifications, successful real estate appraisers are respected real estate specialists.
Information on requirements for Trainee Appraisers, Licensed Appraisers, Certified Residential Appraisers, and Certified General Appraisers may be found on the RI Department of Business Regulations Real Estate Appraisers website.
The Rhode Island Association of REALTORS ® does not currently offer qualifying courses to obtain an Appraisal license, however, all Qualifying Appraisal coursework can be taken with the online school CE Shop.
