DBR Enforcement Actions
The Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation has the power to revoke or suspend a real estate license, place a real estate licensee on probation, and/or impose an administrative fine of $1000. DBR can impose these sanctions after a hearing or can negotiate a consent agreement with a licensee. DBR can also hold a principal broker or manager responsible for the actions of salespeople and other brokers who are affiliated with that office.
