Member Transfers

If you have a licensee that you need to drop or add to your office roster, please download and complete the form below, have it signed by Office Manager or Principal and email it to [email protected].

REMINDER FOR PRINCIPAL BROKERS:  The Real Estate Division of the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation MUST be notified of the Affiliation or Disaffiliation of any Real Estate Licensee or any change to Licensee Status such as non-renewal of any member. Member Transfers – Rhode Island Association of Realtors. Failure to notify DBR of licensee disaffiliation could result in assessment of back MLS fees and $100.00 fine to Broker.

Required for all Transferring Licensee’s:

• Subscriber Authorization Form signed by Principal Broker/Office Manager
• Subscriber Agreement Form signed by Licensee

All RIAR/MLS Membership Forms or inquiries can be faxed to the Membership Department at 401-941-5320 or e-mailed to [email protected].   If you have any questions regarding the transferring or disaffiliation of a licensee please contact Membership at 401-785-9898 Option 2.   If you need to update any billing information, please contact MLS Billing at 401-432-6930.

Any updated information on the Authorization form (such as email address) will be updated automatically by MLS.

If you are a team leader and currently have an active team, please write the team code ID next to your individual ID on the Subscriber Authorization form.

Listing Transfers

If you, as a transferring agent, wish to take existing listing clients with you to your new firm, please keep in mind that contractually, all listings signed by you are actually the property of the Designated Broker and respective firm under which those contracts were initially signed. In order to transfer your listings to your new firm, that Broker must be willing to sign MLS’ Withdrawal Form for each listing which would allow you to re-list those properties under your new firm.
